December Fashion Recommendations

IT'S NEARLY CHRISTMAS!!! Anyway. Here are a few fashion tips and recommendations for Decemer to survive the cold winter months...

1. Jumpers

(I have no idea why I am pulling that face either?!)

They're ridiculously warm and comfy and they're easy to create an outfit with - you can just chuck on some leggings or jeans. If like me you don't have a uniform, something that makes it easy to put an outfit together is always handy. Both of these jumpers I bought from Primark.

2.Wear vests under tops for extra warmth.

3. Republic has a big sale on at the moment and does student discounts (on the websites it says 10% with an NUS card or unidays code at checkout) though in my experience you can't get student discount on a sale item.

4. Backpacks - Give your shoulders a rest! They are so much more comfortable than handbags but you don't have to sacrifice fashion to wear one as there are lots of different styles and designs. Topshop and Accessorize have good ones.

6. Wear tights under trousers or leggings for an extra hidden layer.

7. You lose a lot of heat from your head so invest in a hat or some ear warmers.

These ear muffs also work as headphones so you can listen to music while keeping your ears toasty! How cool is that? There seems to be quite a trend for these types of ear muffs recently and I think they'd make a cool Christmas present. John Lewis is a good place to find these and seem to have a quite a selection including an Ugg pair (£75).

8. Accessorize with scarves and gloves. My nan recently told me not to follow fashion but to wear warm clothing and that fashion would kill. Luckily though fashion has moved on with the season and winter coats and warm socks are perfectly acceptable.

9. Invest in a nice winter coat. You are probably going to be wearing this a lot so get one you really like and that will go with anything.
