Presentation Evening ootd

Firstly, I'd just like to apologize that I haven't done a blog post in a while. The amount of work you get at college is crazy. And there was me naively thinking that by doing less subjects I'd have less work!

This is just a quick outfit of the day post. Recently I went to a Speech Night at my school to pick up my GCSE certificates. This basically involves having your name and GCSE results read out and then having to go shake hands with and get a cerificate from the 'guest of honour' in front of an audience.The dress code was formal and this is what I decided to wear as I didn't feel like going with the typical blazer and skirt/trousers suit.

The pink dress is from Next though I didn't buy it recently. I am wearing simple black tights and the spiked ankle boots from Office I can be seen wearing in previous posts. I like formal dresses like this because they're versatile and can be dressed up and down. Also, gone are the days when smart wear was all greys and blacks - colour is in! By the way, if you're looking for smart wear H and M usually have a good selection of blazers and smart jackets.
