I have January exams coming up so I haven't had a lot of time to blog. But I just needed to get out a quick rant about January sales. I think I must be the only girl I know who doesn't get super duper excited about the sales. Wait, before you judge me allow me to explain myself.
Firstly, all the shops are really busy and you barely have space to breathe. Every two seconds you have to move out the way for someone or wait for someone to move out of your way. There is always without doubt someone stood in the mirror when you need it or standing infront of what you want to buy. There are a load of clothes that you see and you can see the reason it's in the sale. You find these random items that look nice and then you realise they wouldn't actually go with anything. When you finally find something you like and is a reasonable price it's not in your size. Or there's only one item in your size and it's dirty or broken. A lot of the stuff isn't even that cheap they just stick it in racks saying '£50 or less' and I swear it's probably no cheaper than before January.
Also, you have to get in there early. If, heaven forbid, you go shopping in middle to late January, you might as well go home cause there is a 98% of chance you won't find anything decent. I've also heard a lot of people telling me they've gone shopping looking for bargains and ended up buying stuff not in the sales anyway. Another thing is sales are usually useless if you're looking for a specific item.
Rant over. January could be a good time to have a wardrobe clearout and throw out anything that doesn't fit anymore or (be honest) you're never going to wear. The good thing about clearing out your wardrobe is it means more space for new stuff rather than that expensive jacket that's never left the rack but guilt has stopped you from giving away. You could try customising some old items and modernising them. Plus, if Christmas has left you broke it may be a good time to save up!
