Body Types
Hourglass figures have curvy roughly the same size bust and hips and a small waist (most websites say 9" smaller than your bust). If your bust and hips are similar sizes but your waist isn't quite as teeny as this you may be a rectangle body type. An hourglass figure is the rarest one although back in the 40s when diet was different it was the most common. The average British woman is an apple shape carrying most of their weight on her upper body. The average body type varies across different countries.
Here are a few ideas of what I think may suit someone with an hourglass figure.
1. Clingy Fabrics
.
Fabrics like this that cling to your body are an easy way to flaunt your curvy silhouette. Why not add a crazy jacket?
2. Peplums
Dresses that already have an hourglass shape - clinching in at the waist and going out at the hips will emphasis where your body goes in and out. The peplum detailing on this dress does just that.
A more casual way to way peplums is with jeans and a top. If you've seen my blog before you'll know I'm a big fan of this look.

I was having a bit of a bad hair day so I thought why not embrace it and go for a wild hair look ;)
3. Pencil Skirts
Hourglass figures will suit most skirts but especially the pencil skirt.Teaming your pencil skirt with a bralette shows off your slim waist.
Also try V necklines, they're great for hourglass figures and if you prefer you can show your curves with some subtle cleavage.
I hope you all have great fun loving your body and dressing to suit it!
