Winter Lookbook

Here are some of the outfits I've been wearing this winter :)

Jumpers are a must for cold weather and so easy to throw on with leggings or jeans.
I've added my thick Superdry varsity jacket for extra warmth.
This is the skirt and crop top from the previous two just shown more clearly here. The shoes I'm wearing I bought to wear to work and are from office. I love how they work just as well with a skirt, dress or jeans. However, your feet will burn when you first start wearing them. Don't say you haven't been warned!
Here I've worn this jumper over a black dress. Wearing a dress rather than skirt just gives you that extra layer on top.
(My dad phoned me while my camera was on timer.)

Hope you're all having a wonderful winter!

Summer dress and sandals ootd

Hello! I tried to do something a little different with my hair today and twisted the front section round with my finger to create a quiff. I'm not quite sure how well it's worked though. Hmm.

I am going out to dinner tonight for some friends' birthday and am determined to think of something to do to my hair without resorting to my extensions like I normally do when going out in the evening. We'll see how that works out... Anyway this is what I wore today:

I love summer and it's so fun seeing all the outfits people create! This was just something simple as most of my clothes are packed for my holiday soon. I have been known to occasionally (okay, always) over pack.

Cya soon,

Spring/Summer Lookbook

Here's a collection of different outfits for the spring/summer season. In Britain it's been lovely and sunny one day and then coat weather by the next! Some of these may seem quite warm but it hasn't really got that hot over here yet so that's why.

H and M do fun patterned vests like this one I bought there a little while ago.

I love dungarees and they seem to be everywhere at the moment! These are from Primark.

Have been looking for a top like this for a while and saw this one for £2.50 in primark.

I also wore this black crop top when i went to see P!nk at the O2. She was sooo talented doing acrobatics, dancing and singing.

Jumpsuits and playsuits are a must for warm weather as they practically style themselves!
I hope that these have you given some outfit ideas.

How to dress an hourglass figure

Stylists are always talking about dressing for your body shape. After all, you want to wear something that will flatter you and show off all the gorgeous best bits of your body! If people seem to like this post I may do more for different body types.

Body Types

Hourglass figures have curvy roughly the same size bust and hips and a small waist (most websites say 9" smaller than your bust). If your bust and hips are similar sizes but your waist isn't quite as teeny as this you may be a rectangle body type. An hourglass figure is the rarest one although back in the 40s when diet was different it was the most common. The average British woman is an apple shape carrying most of their weight on her upper body. The average body type varies across different countries.

Here are a few ideas of what I think may suit someone with an hourglass figure.

1. Clingy Fabrics

.
Fabrics like this that cling to your body are an easy way to flaunt your curvy silhouette. Why not add a crazy jacket?

2. Peplums

Dresses that already have an hourglass shape - clinching in at the waist and going out at the hips will emphasis where your body goes in and out. The peplum detailing on this dress does just that.

A more casual way to way peplums is with jeans and a top. If you've seen my blog before you'll know I'm a big fan of this look.

..
.
I was having a bit of a bad hair day so I thought why not embrace it and go for a wild hair look ;)

3. Pencil Skirts

Hourglass figures will suit most skirts but especially the pencil skirt.Teaming your pencil skirt with a bralette shows off your slim waist.

Also try V necklines, they're great for hourglass figures and if you prefer you can show your curves with some subtle cleavage.

I hope you all have great fun loving your body and dressing to suit it!

Outfit of the day: skater skirt, top and ribbon tights

Heya! Here is an outfit I wore to college.

I think that tucked in high-waisted skirt create a really lovely silhouette. I love skater skirts because they are super for all sorts of body shapes. Skater skirts draw you in at the waist creating or enhancing an hourglass figure.

I wore a casual top with the outfit because it was for college so I didn't want it look more suited to going out somewhere a bit nicer. Logo t-shirts like this Superdry one I'm wearing are great because they are really versatile and can also be worn with jeans or shorts.

I haven't bought any of these clothing items recently so I found some similar stuff you may like:

Logo tops

Jukupop.com do lots of fun t-shirts that are retro style or have fun prints on like this spongebob one:

Skater skirts

Love this sleek wet look monochrome skirt from misguided. Misguided have a really good variety of skirts so if you're looking for a skirt it might be a good place to check out.

Outfit of the day: day dress

I wore this outfit to a birthday lunch for a friend's birthday. This floral dress is very pretty but as I wasn't feeling super girly I tried to give it more of a grungy feel by wearing a black leather jacket, black tights and black boots. But to go with the girly and summery feel of the dress I wore a pink flower in my hair. I think I got a bit excited to be honest cause it was actually warm and sunny for once - just four days ago it was sunny! But that's British weather for you :)
